3. Judas and the priests
In Jerusalem the crowds follow Jesus, still waving their palm leaves. Jesus has entered Jerusalem on a triumphant Palm Sunday.
But now we move on.
We gather outside the nursing home. At one end of the car park are gathered Jesus and His followers. At the other are the priests and Roman soldiers.
Now Jesus is telling His disciples that He won't be trying to "take over" like the expected Jewish Messiah.
He then sends them ahead to prepare the room for their Passover meal.
Meanwhile Judas has started to doubt Him and goes to the priests to sell Him out.
Things are looking rather bleak. The musicians play Sydney Carter's "Said Judas to Mary".
